Interior Window Cleaning St. George, UT — Through the Glass: A Local Window Cleaner’s Take on the Science of Clean Panes

Interior Window Cleaning

1.

Interior window cleaning St. George – That’s when you’re trying to relax and the sun shows every window smudge.

That’s why interior window cleaning is one of the things I get asked to do the most (after exterior window cleaning). I’ve lived here long enough to have seen every kind of fingerprint, dog nose print, and mystery streaks.

I clean with soft cotton cloths, Dawn, and water. I keep it simple because simple works. I carry shoe coverings in case I need them. I charge an affordable $2.42 per interior window, though the price changes if the window is huge or the top of the window is high.

Real life window cleaner story: A couple of weeks ago I worked for a woman who owns a home in Entrada. Her windows were so high I had to get on a ladder and use a high pole to clean the tops of those huge windows.

If you’ve got great views, residential window cleaning is made for your home

A lot of my interior window cleaning calls come from homes in Bloomington, Sunriver, and Green Springs. These neighborhoods all have one thing in common. Big windows. Lots of them. And Red Cliffs National Conservation Area has enough dirt and dust for all of those big windows.

When I’m in your home, I focus on the stuff that actually bugs you. From the streaks you see every morning to the fingerprints from the grandkids. And the nose prints from pets (which is difficult to remove for some reason) who eagerly await the mailman.

Interior window cleaning in St. George homes helps with glare.. Clean glass fixes that making it less obvious.

3.

Interior office window cleaning – Do dirty interior windows make you tired and ready for an afternoon nap?

“Because nothing says ‘professional workplace’ like fingerprints from three different departments and one mystery forehead smudge.”

Office windows in St. George seems to attract dust and grime. And they’re Often covered in handprints. I clean a lot of offices near the Rosenbruch World Wildlife Museum, and the windows there get dirty as fast as anywhere else.

Interior office window cleaning matters. Clean windows make the whole place feel lighter. Less stale. Light coming in from outside makes for good morale.

I’ve cleaned windows in medical offices, real estate offices, and insurance offices. Clean glass makes every office look more awake. They receive the same TLC I give to homes.

The Windows Every Shopper Touches — because retail store glass gets more fingerprints than a crime lab.

“If it has glass, someone in St. George has already touched it — usually with their entire face.”

Retail stores in St. George constantly deal with fingerprints.

Kids press their faces against the glass. Adults peer in to see what’s going on inside. I clean a lot of interior retail windows near the outlets and around Bluff Street. Those windows take a beating.

Interior window cleaning for retail stores helps bring in customers. Clean glass makes everything inside look better. If a customer can see the window display clearly, they’re more apt to walk in and shop.

I’ve cleaned windows in home decor shops, eye glass shops, and one store that sold nothing but knitting stuff. That one was fun.

All of those windows were spotless when I was done cleaning them

4 Things You May Not Have Considered About Interior Restaurant Window Cleaning

Restaurants are a whole different story.

  1. Fingerprints
  2. Food smears
  3. Nose prints
  4. The unknown yuck

I clean interior restaurant windows all over St. George. Some near the Bloomington Petroglyph Park. Some near SunRiver.

Personal Story About Interior windows: There is a very famous fast food restaurant on Sunset Blvd. I ate there last week for the first time in years. I had stopped going because all of the locations were extremely dirty.  When I went in last week the place was very clean except for sewer gas stinking up the bathroom (easy fix if you know what’s going on) and all of the inside windows were filthy. They weren’t even trying to have clean windows. Will I go back? Yes, but I know in advance that the windows will be very dirty.

Clean restaurant windows matter. I notice. Customers notice. Some customers love to people-watch through the windows. And clean glass makes that happen.

1. What is the best homemade window cleaning solution?

For a large bucket of cleaning solution to clean a lot of windows, add a tablespoon or so of Dawn dishwashing detergent. This is what the pros use.

For a spray bottle add a drop of two of Dawn to a spray bottle filled with clean water. Use like you would a store bought solution.

2. How to wash windows inside

A professional window cleaner will do the following:

1. Use a bucket filled with 1.5 gallons of water and a tablespoon of Dawn dishwashing soap

2. Use a microfiber scrubbing cloth soaked in the cleaning solution and wash the window with it.

3. Squeegee the wet window to remove the cleaning solution.

4. Dry the edges and the bottom of the window.

5. Lightly spray the window with a solution of 1 drop of Dawn dishwashing detergent and a sprayer filled with water.

6. Polish the window dry.

3. Should I let the vinegar sit on the window or wipe it off?

It depends on what you are using the vinegar for.

If it is to remove hard water stains, you could let is dry on the window if you wish.

If you are using it to clean you windows, don’t use it. Professional window cleaners never use vinegar to clean windows.

Congrats! Bleach or vinegar (never both!) with an old toothbrush and paper towels will do the trick. I had a similar issue when I got my house. What you see is mold. It’s caused by when the outdoor temp drops and your home has warm air inside. Water condensates on the glass panes and drips down and grows a little mold. Nothing serious but good job on noticing. 👍

I always like to start with a brush attachment of your vacuum to get up any loose dust and crud before you get in the with wet cleaning. I’d spray with something like Clorox cleanup and use a microfiber cloth and toothbrush if necessary.

French Panes help?

so your French pane glass is a mess and you really don’t know how to clean them. Here is a tip for you. Go to your local auto parts store and look at the car cleaning supply aisle. Look for their chamois. Usually they are made of synthetic fibers that will wick water away. What you can do is take those chamois and wash the glass with them. Put some dawn in some warm water, put your chamois in the solution and wring it out. They, wash the glass. Use a towel, one that doesn’t have any lint on it and wipe off the glass and there you go. It will make your glass look great and it isn’t much of a hassle.
