Personal Story: My office is in the walkout basement of my home. From where I sit I can see the sliding glass door windows. There are constantly birds and lizards out on the patio. I had so many birds I had to put bird avoidance decals on the windows to keep them from hitting the glass.
I do get occasional road runner visitors. Last spring we had a road runner looking inside the windows a lot. I’m not sure what they saw but they came back again and again over a couple of weeks.

As a window cleaner, how do you convince people to get their windows cleaned during rainy times of the year?
I use to clean windows professionally in St George Utah where precipitation is pretty low. Recently I moved to Salt Lake City and I find myself hesitant to go knock on doors to get business during the winter months because I feel like the weather would be an objection. I have thought about putting an emphasis on hard water removal or adding something to my water that will keep the windows clean for longer during rainy weeks. Does anyone have a preferred method for getting business during the winter months?

Rain (or weather) guarantee for the win! Offering one helps the owner with peace of mind knowing that the weather won’t be much of an issue. For example, If it *looks* like it will rain, they will cancel. But it may actually not rain at their house and now the schedule is all messed up!
