Residential Window Cleaning St George – The 6 Most Important Window Cleaning Steps Your House Has Been Begging For

Residential window cleaning st george

1.  Residential Window Cleaning

If you’ve lived in St. George long enough, you’ve learned two things.

*  The sun here doesn’t play around.

*  Hard water stains can’t be avoided on windows.

The water here in St. George is loaded with calcium and magnesium. When it dries on windows, it leaves behind white spots that get worse over time.

You’ve probably seen it first hand. I’ve been doing this since 2017, so I’ve seen a lot of windows. And I’ve seen first hand what wonders I can do as I remove those stains.

I run First Impressions Window Cleaning and Residential Window Cleaning in St George. This is what I do every day. Entrada, The Ledges, Kayenta When I’m in those neighborhoods it feels like I could find my way around blindfolded.

2. How to clean hard water stains even if they’ve been on your windows forever

The number one reason homeowners call me is for hard water stains. They show up from sprinklers, rain, and whatever else the desert throws your way. Once they settle in, they don’t want to leave. That’s where I come in.

You’d be surprised by how many homeowners try vinegar first. I get it. They do an online search for what to use and vinegar comes up. Vinegar works. Period.

Of course I use a plastic razor blade scrapper to work with the vinegar. These cut through the mineral buildup without scratching the glass.

3. My Best-Ever Solution To Window Frame Cleaning Washington, UT

Window frame cleaning in Washington, UT is something homeowners forget about until they’re covered with cobwebs, leaves, and mud.. The desert wind shows no mercy. It blows rain and dirt into every corner of your frames.

I clean the frames by hand, so the dirt doesn’t smear back onto the glass. It makes a huge difference. Clean frames make clean windows look even better.

If you’ve ever walked around places like Thunder Junction or the St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site, you know how dusty this area can get. That same dust ends up on your window frames.

4.  Tips for Pressure Washing and Power Washing, St. George

Pressure washing and power washing in St. George helps keep your home looking clean when the desert covers everything in red dirt and mud.

If you’ve ever spent a day at Snow Canyon or Quail Creek, you know how the red dirt sticks to everything. It sticks to your house too. Pressure washing gets rid of it. I wash driveways, patios, walkways, and entry areas.

A lot of homeowners call me after a long summer because the dust settles into the concrete and makes everything look older than it is. A good wash brings it back to life.

A personal story: I also do soft washing of homes. We have a number of communities in St. George that have numerous water features (man-made lakes) . Water features = extra bugs for spiders. So the homes around these “lakes” have a lot of cobwebs on them. With a hose and a spray nozzle I can clean all of the cobwebs (and dust and wasp nests) off of a home in about 30 to 60 minutes. Cost to do this is $55/hour and well worth it when their home looks new again.

I clean interior glass, mirrors, shower glass, and anything else that reflects light. I use professional tools and solutions so your mirrors don’t look foggy or smeared.

Homes in Kayenta and Washington often have large interior windows and mirrors that show every fingerprint and spot of toothpaste. I clean them so they shine again.

Self Cleaning Glass

Self cleaning windows – Can any product be accurately described as self cleaning Probably not and there is evidence of some exaggerated claims recently regarding Self cleaning windows

However, non – stick, low maintenance glass is not an extravagant overstatement, and in fact, back in 1984, Ritec Ltd. perfected a treatment for glass which is probably as close as you can get to ‘self cleaning’, and can certainly be accurately described as low maintenance.

This product bears the trade mark name of ClearShield, and Ritec Ltd. (now Ritec International Ltd.) has developed into a world wide organisation, with offices and licensed operators from New Zealand to the Far East and beyond.

Requires water to work

The real truth behind ‘Self cleaning windows’, is that it does require water in order for the non-stick treatment for glass to perform, and rainfall can often be sufficient to wash away normal levels of dust and urban contaminants

. During long, dry spells a simple sprinkling with a garden hose will leave the glass sparkling clean and ClearShield™ treated glass dries without leaving spots or smears. For the full technical specifications of the ClearShield™ product and it’s applications, please contact vistec ltd

Window Cleaning Tip From Reddit

Question: How to clean windows? I’ve used dawn, vinegar, the blue stuff at least 50 times. Paper towels, rags, microfiber. Just keeps smearing.

Answer: Dawn as in dish soap? That explains the streaks! You aren’t removing it all before drying the window.

Windex + squeegee is the way to go.

Answer: Dawn dish soap does great but b-o-x-e-s is/are correct that you aren’t removing it all. You only need a few drops and a lot of water and you need to rinse it off. If you are cleaning the interior, don’t use dawn.

On the exterior window/door where you can spray it down with water, then feel free.

You can also use invisible glass with a clean microfibre cloth.

Answer: This . car detailer here, what I do with cars is use a mild all purpose cleaner with microfiber or magic eraser (magic eraser works great but gotta be careful with what you’re using it on) and then come back with the window cleaner and microfiber. Spray, wipe, flip, wipe.

Just had the windows professionally cleaned for the first time and wow

Not normally something we’d spend on but we’re selling our house and need it to look nice. We have a ton of windows and I’ll give them the occasional wipe down but never really noticed how dirty they were. Until today when they were professionally cleaned. It was not as costly as anticipated, and it’s completely changed the feel of the whole house. Like genuinely, I feel like I’m in a whole new space. If you’ve ever considered it, I would say it’s definitely worth adding into a regular routine of home upkeep.
